Lorenc Palokaj, cousin of the late rapper, Mentor Palokaj, has shared some details, a week after the latter was found dead in an apartment in Pristina.
Through a long post on his Facebook account, Lorenci has revealed the causes that may have led to the rapper's death.
He claimed that he had been by his side in the last three weeks of rapper "Tee".
As Lorenci claims, his death at the age of 42 may very likely have been the result of medical negligence.
According to him, the signs were there, but the Mentor neglected them.
He mentions a conversation they had five days before his death, where Mentor had mentioned that his legs were swollen.
" I was lucky enough to spend the last three weeks of his life with him. Five days before this event, during a conversation, he told me that his legs felt a little swollen. He said this indirectly, without making it a topic, and I thought it was something common, like a momentary fatigue or a non-serious concern. After that, he never mentioned this problem again, neither to me nor to his brother. The day before his death, he accompanied me to the airport and that day something was not as usual. We said goodbye together twice, and the way he looked at me that day was different. It was a deep look, as if he knew that it would be the last time we would meet. Throughout the trip, I felt as if he accompanied me with his gaze. In these darkest days of my life, we learned from a relative that he had been to the doctor and the results had not come out well regarding his heart. They had told him that he had to go in the hospital. But anyone who knew Mentor knows that he would never submit to this situation. He lived his life his own way, without anyone dictating how to live it, not even death could dictate his last day.
It is clear that he had felt something in his last days, but had chosen to keep it to himself, not wanting to bother others. His last look and the way he greeted me at the airport seemed to leave behind a silent message, a farewell unspoken in words, but deeply felt. It is difficult to accept such a loss, especially when you realize after the event that there were signs that I did not fully read in time.
I have not been able to find out until now which doctor he has been to and what diagnosis Mentor has had in recent months. My greatest desire is to know this in order to understand the situation and to understand what he has felt in recent days.
No, I am 1000% sure that the cause of death was not as the unscrupulous media is speculating, but rather health problems. All those who knew him know what I am saying. I am proud to have lived in your time and to have had the opportunity to be with you, even though you are my blood! "
