90 percent of babies are being exposed to highly toxic diapers.

According to a research conducted in France, these diapers can cause more serious diseases for children in the future, writes Euronews.

An agency called ANSES tested the best-selling brands of disposable diapers and found 38 "very dangerous" chemicals in those sold across Europe. Most of the chemicals disrupt hormones, officials say, meaning they are not considered safe.

The study estimates that over 14 million European children may suffer "potentially very serious, variable and latent diseases that affect their quality of life throughout their lives".

1000 diapers are made in Europe every minute. The market is worth €7 billion a year and is dominated by two brands, Pampers (36 percent) and Huggies (2 percent).
