A few days ago, a video went viral on social media showing Xumi using offensive language. Commentators were convinced that those words were directed at Gjesti.
Xumi himself explained this today while he was invited to the studio of "Shqipëria Live" on Top Channel. The show's moderator reminded the former resident of this moment, who replied that 'it was not in the direction of Gjesti'.
Xumi also apologized for the language used and added that such a thing is not in his ethics, but it happened as a result of the situation and the gravity of the moment.
Excerpt from the interview:
The day before your departure, not yesterday but the day before yesterday, in the evening you held a type of conference, where everyone asked you and Egli questions and you both gave the answers. You did not prefer to say the reasons why you had to stay home, you even made a statement that if you were to win you would give a part to Egli for his father's treatment. I want to focus on a moment that I noticed, maybe you did not see it but it was also shared on social networks. It is a moment of your tension where you also use offensive words for Gjesti.
Xumi: If unintentionally, knowing that the pressure there is very great, I want to clarify this part as well since I mentioned it. Absolutely at no point did I address offensive words towards Gjesti. We have Albanians who are in a tense situation and let out a curse of the moment.
Wasn't it about the gesture?
Xumi : Absolutely not at any point, I apologize. It's not my ethics in my daily life. But he was on edge about the situation, about the seriousness, but not about the Gesture. Absolutely not at any point.
