The colors we wear say a lot about our personality

The color that dominates our clothing often reveals who we are and how we feel. There are times when we adore dressing in a certain color, but once that period is over, we can't stand it anymore.

We can also love a color that maybe doesn't suit us best, but it makes us feel good or we can even play to transmit an image of ourselves that transforms us for an evening into what we are not.

Color psychology reveals so many secrets of our character and at the same time teaches us some maneuvers to fill us with joy when we have a bad day.

So let's see the meaning of the colors that we like to wear and that are especially present in our wardrobe.

RED – It is a symbol of vital energy, passion and the desire not to go unnoticed. It can also express a certain aggressiveness. To stand out can be especially useful when we feel a little down, for example on a gray and cold day: it will give us a boost of vitality.

ORANGE – It is the color of creativity, harmony and openness to others. The outfit is a sign of optimism and good mood, of an independent, sunny and self-confident character. It is also a sign of a certain artistic flair.

YELLOW – It is a color that does not suit everyone, but at the same time it is a sign of many important qualities. It brings with it the vitality of sunlight and, at the same time, is a sign of rationality and the power of the intellect. Yellow is also the color of the third chakra, one of the energy nodes according to Eastern philosophies, in which the life force is gathered.

BLUE – The color of harmony and balance, has the ability to relax and restore calm. Those who like to wear this color may have a certain tendency towards introversion, but in general it conveys a sense of calmness and inner security in oneself. If you wear it often, it's better to mix it with some brighter details to avoid falling into melancholy.

BLUE – It has the same characteristics as the color blue, but shows a greater openness to others. It is the color of the sky and air, therefore it expresses lightness and spirituality.

GREEN – Symbolizes hope, calm, but also perseverance and wisdom. Wearing green can help calm the mental restlessness that grips us at certain times and help us feel more relaxed if we are worried for some reason. Brighter shades are a symbol of strong temperament, which does not go unnoticed.

COLOR PURPLE – It is the color that symbolizes openness to others, as much as red expresses the will to attract attention: it is no coincidence that the two colors are located at opposite ends of the spectrum of visible light. Lighter shades, such as lilac, express sensitivity, while more intense and dark shades such as amethyst violet are a sign of spirituality. Color psychologists invite you to wear this color carefully when you feel sad and a little depressed, while it is useful if you want inner peace and balance.

WHITE – Includes all frequencies of the light spectrum and is a symbol of energy, freshness, radiance and sensuality. It is not easy to wear, because it mercilessly emphasizes all the curves of the body, but her choice is a sign of elegance and great distinction. To avoid the total white look, we can stop at a shirt or blouse.

PINK – It is the color of those who believe in love, to give and to receive, and that is, the purest possible love. It conveys soft emotions, cooperation and sweetness; it's intense and bright and looks good on everyone. Far from the candy effect that makes it undesirable for many.

BLACK – It is the color 'par excellence', a symbol of elegance and luxury, which is impossible not to notice. Mysterious, minimalist and at the same time an index of very deep feelings and moods, it allows us to see only the outermost part of the fabric that makes up the garment, along with the thoughts of the wearer, but hints that in there is much more depth. It is easy to combine with other shades and is the most wearable color ever.

GRAY – It is a kind of passe-partout, neither too light nor too dark, bright and calming. But it can express a certain self-doubt and the desire to go unnoticed. It is also an indication of the will to separate from external reality and the desire not to make decisions. Better not to wear it too often: it can lead to a gloomy mood.

CHESTNUT - Although derived from the mixture of red, yellow and black, which are intense and energetic colors, the color brown indicates a desire to pass unnoticed and a certain tendency towards closure and introversion. But it is also a signal of a good relationship with yourself and a very good practical sense.
