On Sunday, the clocks will go back 60 minutes.
The hands will move back one hour at 03:00 on the night between Saturday and Sunday, October 26 and 27, repositioning at 02:00. Thus, one hour more sleep will be possible, but the afternoons will have one hour less natural light. We will move the hands only on analog clocks, as all other digital devices connected to the Internet will automatically update to the new time.
Solar time will remain in effect until March 31, 2025, when, as always, at 03:00 a.m., daylight saving time will come into effect. The determination of the time change never has a fixed date, in both cases, but is always applied on the night between Saturday and the last Sunday of October and March. Despite the controversies that have accompanied the seasonal change of time for several years, nothing has yet been decided by the EU.
The discussion was about keeping in force only one legal clock, to save electricity, why it was adopted since the first time, or keeping the solar time regime. But precisely for saving energy, the impact on the economy or even on the environment, as it brings a reduction of CO2, has influenced the non-continuation of discussions to remove the legal clock, as it should be a unanimous decision for all EU countries.
