Ermonela Jaho is the Albanian voice that has conquered the operas of the world for years. But, she is pessimistic if such a success would reach her in her country. "They wouldn't even put me in the choir" she said during a recent interview in "Zë me Miran", where she confessed, among other things:

"I will disappoint you a little with this answer, but it is a direct answer. I never said that. I don't know if they would put me in the choir. We are a small country with talents. Each of us has a fantastic talent. Everyone is born with a talent. Unfortunately, there is no place for everyone" - declared Ermonela Jaho.

The world-famous soprano said that her countrymen have problems with the first place because everyone wants to be number 1 - and the truth is that there is not much room for number 1.

"Yes, because everyone wants to be number 1. There is no place for everyone, to be number 1. Even to go to that number 1, they are ready to shoot everyone, to achieve. Even though you see it, someone else is better than you, we cannot accept it. We cannot even accept the one who speaks our language. That we shared that bread with butter or that we sat together, drank a coffee. I don't forgive him for being number 1. This is our logic. I don't forgive him", the disappointed soprano Jaho confessed, among other things.

But despite this, she said that she only feels love for her homeland and that she hopes to see Albania always "up and up".
