Leads "007", what Albanians prefer to put on car license plates

That Albanians want to be different is shown in other countries of the world such as England, where you can see a car with "BISHA" license plate, which clearly shows that the car is owned by an Albanian. As of 2019, each person has the opportunity to select their own license plate, with numbers and letters. Ema Koci, head of the digital services and projects coordination unit at the DPSHTRR says that the number of requests and selected transcripts is very high.

Respectively for the period January-April 2022, 2533 "Selection Plates" were sold.

The most frequent requests are for "License Plates Out of Series", says Koci, starting from the widest selection range. Depending on the numbers, there is a preference for the same numbers (111, 222, 333, 444, 555,666, 777, 888, 999) or special numbers (001, 007) or those plates that have the same last letters, "of which ZZ is the most requested combination, probably for the fact that it creates the impression of an official license plate ". Meanwhile, the most typical selection are three identical numbers and two identical numbers such as: AB111XX or AB100OO, AB010OO, AB001OO, etc.

Koci points out that many people choose the initials of their name or special dates and "lucky numbers" which they match with the availability of license plates at the time of ordering.

Which age group and gender are most in demand on the selection plates?

"Special plates" are a selection of numbers defined as beautiful by the mass production that the Directorate of Plates and Prints produces every day and sold online at extra rates. In case the citizen, in addition to beautiful numbers, also wants the combination of letters, he continues the selection of "Outside Series Plates". They get this name precisely because they are made to order and out of the ordinary order.

"The range of combinations is very wide and is the most preferred category", says Koci. In addition to the variety of combinations, there is also the variety of prices. Tariffs start from 10 thousand to 50 thousand new lek.

Meanwhile, Koci explains that soon there will be license plates with 1 character (1-10). These license plates will have a selection procedure different from the others as they will have considerable prices and will be sold at auction./GazetaSi
