Nicolas Cage has revealed that when he was a child he was convinced he was an alien and added that he was shocked when he realized he was human like everyone else.

The famous actor, in an interview for "Rampstyle" magazine, said: "My father told me that I was like an alien and one day, when I went to the school doctor for a visit and discovered that I had organs and a skeleton like all my friends, I was shocked . I was convinced that I was from another planet."

Cage said that being queer made him want to be an actor.

"I had a hard time forming relationships with other people. I was inspired by David Boëie in the movie "The Man Who Came Down to Earth" and decided to become an actor," said Cage, who has previously attracted attention with surprising statements about his life.
