Throughout the summer in Great Britain, a music festival is organized almost every week - somewhere in the country, according to the BBC.
Major festivals include kicking off the summer with Radio 1's Big Weekend in May, Glastonbury in June, Latitude in July and Reading and Leeds Bank in August.
Some may think that British music fans are somewhat spoiled. In some countries of the world there is no possibility to dance with your partners in an open environment.
This is where Dua Lipa and her father Dukagjin wanted to change things by launching the Sunny Hill festival in their family's hometown of Pristina, Kosovo – a part of the world where several international artists have toured.
"I want to change the rhetoric of what people think about Kosovo and that it is destroyed by war," Dua said earlier this year.
"When I lived in Kosovo, none of the artists I wanted to see ever came," she said.
Dua was born in the UK but moved to Pristina as a child after a war in the late 1990s – which left more than 10,000 dead as Kosovo fought for independence from Serbia.
It declared independence in 2008, although several countries – including Serbia – refused to recognize it.
"The recovery of the country took more years than we would have liked", said Dukagjini.
It was "always a dream" to have something like Sunny Hill in Pristina, as he had worked in the live music events industry for years - before Dua became an international pop star.
In 2018, 10 years after Kosovo declared independence, Sunny Hill - headlined by Dua - was launched.
Then it was more difficult to convince other world artists to perform. However, the following year, the New Rules star's friends Miley Cyrus and Calvin Harris agreed to attend - the first time they had performed in the region.
This changed the way the festival was viewed by other performances and their management teams.
Its latest data estimates that around 40% of visitors were from outside Kosovo - noting that it will also be strongly influenced by the country's diaspora - as people with family ties there bring their friends.
Some had traveled as far as Chicago to the US to see artists such as Bebe Rexha, Burna Boy, Stormzy and DJ Snake headline the main stage last weekend.
Groove Armada, Black Coffee and Griff were also at the festival.
Kosovo is thought to have the youngest population in Europe, as more than half are estimated to be under the age of 30.
Travel restrictions, until earlier this year, meant that local musicians did not have the flexibility to perform in other parts of the continent.
