Detention for Thaçi and Veselin is extended

Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli

The Special Court has decided to extend the detention period for former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi and former Parliament Speaker Veseli.

This decision was taken on May 26, 2022, which was published on the official website of the Special Court.

We recall that Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Kransiqi are being held in detention since November 2020.

The indictment against them in connection with the allegation of war crimes, was confirmed on October 26, 2020, while in their first appearances in the Specialized Chambers in The Hague, they pleaded not guilty.
