Another Russian official has died under mysterious circumstances. It is about Piotr Kucherenko, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education. According to international media, the 46-year-old died while on the plane returning from Cuba to Russia together with a government delegation.

"Kucherenko felt discomfort on the plane while returning with the Russian delegation from a business trip to Cuba. The plane made an emergency landing in Mineralny Vody (Stavropol city), where doctors intervened but were unable to save him," the Ministry of Science announced in a modest statement to the media.

What was surprising was the fact that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated today that he was not aware of the death of the deputy minister.

Doubts increase because according to the testimony of a Russian journalist Roman Super, Kucherenko had called for them to leave the country.

"Save yourself and your family. Leave the country as soon as possible. You cannot imagine the level of brutality of our country in Ukraine. In a year, you won't recognize Russia. By leaving, you are doing the right thing," Kucherenko is said to have told the journalist.

Since the start of the war, 13 members of Russia's business community have died, either by suicide or from unspecified causes, 6 of them high-ranking employees of two of the country's major energy companies.
