The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that he accepts any decision of the Serbian people regarding the barricades. In a post on Instagram, the Serbian head of state announced that he is on his way to Raska, where a meeting is being held on whether or not to remove the barricades.
Among other things, Vucic emphasizes that this is a good day for Serbia, as he adds that he has received guarantees for the safety of Serbs.
"I will be with them and we will preserve Serbian unity. Knowing that until the final liberation they will never be satisfied with any decision, with a clean conscience and a clean face, I go before them, convinced that today is a good day for Serbia, because we have preserved peace and received guarantees of security and the survival of Serbs", he said.
The Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo said today that the security measure for the former Serbian policeman, Dejan Pantiq, has been changed from detention to house arrest.
Earlier, the United States of America and the European Union emphasized that they received guarantees from the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, that there is no list with the names of Serbs to arrest for the protests and the installation of barricades in the north. This attitude of Washington and Brussels has been read by Belgrade as a guarantee for security in the North of Kosovo.
