"I want to ask a special prayer for Pope Benedict, who is silently supporting the Church, he is very sick." These were today's words of Pope Francis during the hearing that he presides periodically in the Vatican, and which casts doubt on the condition of his German predecessor.

After the statements of the head of the Catholic Church, it was the Vatican office itself that affirmed that the condition of 93-year-old Joseph Ratzinger, "has deteriorated excessively in the last hours. The situation is currently under control, but the doctors are monitoring the developments".
