The "ice storm" continues in the USA, the number of victims reaches 60

At least 28 people have died in New York, most of them in Buffalo, as the winter storm continues to batter North America, according to The Guardian.

A state official said some people were trapped in cars for more than two days during what was "probably" the worst storm of their lives. According to the data, at least 60 people have lost their lives so far.

About 250,000 homes and businesses reported power outages over the weekend.

Temperatures have reached -48 degrees Celsius.
