The candidate for president of the USA, Donald Trump, met today with the president of Ukraine, Volodomyr Zelensky.

Trump and Zelensky have discussed the war in Ukraine and the possibility of restoring peace. Although the looks on their faces showed pessimism, both Trump and Zelensky expressed a desire to end the war as soon as possible.

"I've learned a lot, but I don't think I've changed from the point of view that we both want to see this end and we both want to see a fair deal. It has to be right and I think it will happen... This is a war that should never have happened. If we win we will have a quick and fair deal. It's too soon to say how, but we want it to be over as soon as possible. Do you want a fair transaction to happen", said Trump.

After leaving the meeting with Zelensky, Trump said that he has good relations with the Ukrainian president but also with the Russian one, Vladimir Putin.
