The Fox News weather reporter has become a hero after he decided to dive into the floodwaters and save a woman while on duty.

Meteorologist Bob Van Dillen was reporting on the severe flooding caused by Hurricane Helen in Atlanta, USA, when he heard the desperate cries of a woman trapped in her car.

He can be heard telling the woman to stay calm after alerting the rescue teams, while moments later he cuts off the report to save her.

In another segment, he is seen emerging from the water with the woman holding him in his arms.
