US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he would "significantly" increase tariffs on India, accusing the country of essentially feeding "Russian war machinery" by importing oil from them.

"India is not only buying large quantities of Russian oil, but then, for most of the oil purchased, sells it on the open market for huge profits," Trump wrote on the social network "Truth Social".

"They don't care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War Machine. Because of this, I will significantly increase the Tariff that India pays to the US. Thank you for your attention to this issue!!", Trump wrote a little while ago on social networks.
