Trump, strong accusations against China: It interfered in the US elections in 2020

Donald Trump gave a speech in which he accused China of interfering in the 2020 presidential election and claimed there were "shocking weaknesses" in American voting systems.

Speaking from the White House yesterday, Trump repeated his previous claims of voter fraud and foreign interference in the 2020 election, which he lost to Joe Biden.

During the speech, delivered three months before the midterm elections, he declared that he had declassified hundreds of intelligence files that supported claims that Beijing had tried to influence the election in Biden's favor.

Trump spoke in the presence of several members of his close team, while reporters were not allowed to ask questions.

In his speech, he accused China of "illegally appropriating" 220 million voter records, which he said contained personal information. He also claimed that voter records in 18 states had been "bought, stolen or hacked by China" and accused those responsible of failing to report this information to government authorities or Congress.

However, Trump did not present evidence to support claims that China had used this data to manipulate voting systems or influence the outcome of the election.
