Announcement:
Supreme Court judges and support staff have been working in unsafe working conditions for a year now, as a result of elevators that are blocked and moving uncontrollably, and which are under the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Today, three judges and three court officials were trapped inside an elevator for about 40 minutes, and during this time the elevator made uncontrolled and shocking movements.
The judges and staff were treated by the Emergency Medical Service and the Kosovo Police were also notified of the incident.
Similar cases from last year and today's case increase the need for this issue not to be neglected any longer, but to be treated seriously and for the competent institutions to take the situation seriously and create working conditions ensuring that the lives of judges and Court staff are safe.
