The situation is heavy with massive floods in the Italian city

At around 1:00 pm today, the city and the province of Rimini, in Emilia-Romagna, were hit by a severe storm.

Heavy rainfall and wind put citizens in trouble, uprooting trees, flooding underpasses and roads and causing power cuts in some areas of the city center.

After the bad weather, Rimini Mayor Jamil Sadegholvaad announced on his Facebook page that the Municipal Operational Centre was activated to coordinate emergency interventions.

"Underpasses and roads have flooded, trees have been brought down, power outages in various parts of the city, emergencies are working to overcome current critical issues as quickly as possible," he wrote.
