A lightning strike struck the beach of Alba Adriatica, in italy's Teramo province, injuring three holidaymakers.
The injured were all women, a 65-year-old Frenchwoman and two Italians aged 42 and 44, respectively resident in S. Omero and Giuliianova.
According to italian media, the 42-year-old was left seriously injured. She was unconscious when rescued, therefore transported to Teramo Hospital.
The incident happened around midday on the south coast of Alba, between Piccolo Chalet and Copacabana. Rescue workers and health workers immediately intervened at the scene, who performed resupply manoeuvres on the injured women.
