In the Musk family there is some admiration for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
At least that's what Elon Musk's father, Errol, said in an interview with the BBC.
"If you look at Putin as a person, and not in the context of international politics, it's hard not to have respect for him," he said.
And when asked if Elon had said something similar about the Tsar, Errol confirmed that their thoughts are similar, explaining that people around him often try to convince others not to trust Putin, but he himself considers him an example of a strong leader.
In response to the remark that it was Putin who started the war in Ukraine, Errol replied that "only with time will we understand who really started it."
Regarding Elon's position on Ukraine, according to him, the decision to give Ukraine access to the Starlink Internet satellite network seemed to be at the beginning of the war, but over time the conflict dragged on.
In any case, he has categorically rejected the idea that Elon's change was due to commercial interests.
Speaking about his son's entry into the field alongside Donald Trump, Errol has said that he believes that despite his success in business, Elon is actually not inclined towards politics.
"He is a technical specialist, such people try to achieve logic and order. Politics is an endless chaos in which there is no end, no boundaries and in which it is impossible to win," he declared.
And for the episode of the gesture condemned by many as a Nazi salute, the elder Musk has denied this reconstruction, speaking of disinformation against his son.
In reality, there has not been a good relationship between Elon and his father for years, reports the Italian daily La Stampa.
The son accused his father of being violent and very distant from him.
