The police arrested the person, who pretended to be businessman and former president of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli , managing to steal 25 thousand euros from a hotel in the capital.
The young man contacted the Radisson Collection Morina Hotel , owned by entrepreneur Julian Morina , asking for several thousand euros, which he claimed would go towards Iftar.
With an article with obvious grammatical problems, all it took was a contact name of " Behgjet Pacolli " and an attached photo of the former president of Kosovo to succeed in deceiving the financiers of this hotel.
Footage obtained by the AP shows the man casually entering the hotel premises, wearing a hat in an attempt to cover his face.
He managed to obtain 12 thousand euros through the fraud scheme once, and another 13 thousand euros the second time.
Other well-known figures, such as the president of the Partizani football club, Gaz Demi, have not escaped this trick, but he could not succeed with the latter.
The police suspect that a structured group is behind him, for which detailed investigations have begun and other details are expected in the future.

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR MY FRIENDS – PLEASE READ!
Recently, sophisticated criminal groups have emerged that are using various methods to deceive people and gain large sums of money.
Unfortunately, such a case has also happened with my identity, in Albania.
An unknown person used my photo and, through digital technology, also imitated my phone number. He contacted some of my friends via WhatsApp, asking for money with the excuse that I needed it urgently in Tirana, and that I would return it the next day.
The messages were of the type:
"I urgently need money in Tirana now. I'm sending someone to get it, and I'll come back tomorrow and give it back."
These requests have been for large amounts – from 10 to 95,000 euros.
Unfortunately, some people believed and sent money.

It wasn't until April 1st that an attentive friend realized that my writing style wasn't my style and immediately let me know.
PLEASE: DON'T BE FOOLED!
I don't ask for money from anyone.
If you receive any suspicious messages in my name, do not react – but immediately notify the police or inform me directly.
Together we can stand up to these unscrupulous fraudsters.
I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and trust!
