Serious in Pristina, the 41-year-old woman dies after brutal violence by her husband! (Spent 3 days in a coma)

A serious event took place in Pristina , where a 41-year-old woman lost her life after the violence her husband inflicted on her.

41-year-old M.Zh., from Gushterica e Poshtme, municipality of Graçanica , died today at the Clinical Hospital Center in Prishtina , after her husband had beaten her causing serious injuries.

The news has also been confirmed by the director of the Emergency Center in Pristina, Naser Syla, who says that the woman had a brain hemorrhage due to the injuries she suffered as a result of the violence.

"Unfortunately, she passed away this morning. She had a brain hemorrhage from the severe injuries, and we couldn't operate on her in that condition. She was in the machine 24 hours," said Syla.

The 41-year-old ended up in the hospital in a serious condition on the evening of July 31. Her husband, D.Zh., has been arrested and is being held in custody.

During the month of April, two women were shot by their husbands within a few days in Kosovo. 

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani then called on security and justice institutions, civil society, citizens, women and men to work together to stop gender-based violence, "which tarnishes our country and can destroy it from inside".

From 2010 to April 2024, 57 women were killed in Kosovo. In most cases, the perpetrators of the murders were husbands, then fathers and sons.
