A day after the visit of the Minister of Interior of Kosovo, Xhelal Svecla to Skopje, the news comes from North Macedonia about the conditional release of former KLA soldier Blerim Ramadani.

He was arrested by the police of North Macedonia at the border crossing of Jaznica, at the request of Interpol of Serbia, and he was ordered to be detained for 30 days.

The head of the Organization of KLA War Veterans, Faton Klinaku, has announced to the media in Kosovo that he was informed that Ramadani had been released on bail from detention.

A day earlier, Minister Sveçla said after the meeting with his counterpart in Skopje, Pançe Toshkovski, that third countries should not be allowed to hinder the free movement of citizens.

He described Serbia's request for the extradition of the former KLA fighter as criminal.

"We will not allow the criminal demands of a third country, which have no legal basis, to prevent the free movement of our citizens," Sveçla said.

By the decision of the judge of the preliminary procedure, Ramadani will remain under house arrest until August 16, when further procedures are expected to be completed.
