"I want to become a policeman, put my father in prison, so that he doesn't touch my mother anymore ". These words of a child attending primary school in a small town in the Biella area in Italy were enough to alert the teacher.

The little boy was very angry with his father, because he had "shouted" at his mother several times in the presence of the little boy.

The teacher immediately understood the gravity of the situation after these words and notified the school directorate, which in turn sent a detailed report to the Prosecutor's Office.

The investigations were entrusted to the carabinieri of the city where the family lives. After taking into maximum confidentiality the elements that proved the possible hypothesis of a case of domestic violence, the carabinieri delicately approached the child's mother, a 42-year-old woman, gaining her trust and succeeded in convincing her to tell them the story of her, to confess the terror she lived in because of the abuse her alcoholic partner had inflicted on her for years, even in front of the children, and which she had never reported out of fear.

Justified fear, since after moving the mother and children to a reception center, the carabinieri found in their house a pistol, with the magazine inside, placed on top of the refrigerator, and a rifle and some cartridges were found inside a closet. Both guns had the serial number scratched off.

The 48-year-old was arrested for illegal possession of weapons and domestic violence. /corriere.it
