Prime Minister Albin Kurti did not participate in the consultative meeting of President Vjosa Osmani on the new date of the parliamentary elections, adding to the rumors of differences between the two state leaders.
Osmani himself stated that Kurti had initially confirmed his participation, while his office had said that he would be out of Kosovo while he was in Pristina.
The president said that the vice president of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Glauk Konjufca, had the will to participate in the meeting, but had not accepted since the invitation was only for party leaders.
"The chairman of the Vetëvendosje Movement was not present today, we do not know the reasons, I believe you can ask him directly, I assume he is in the office, so you can go and ask him", said the president.
Kurti's office said that the prime minister was at a lunch with 21 ambassadors accredited to Kosovo, the confirmation of which he had made a long time ago.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo assessed Kurti's absence at the meeting as an insult to Osmani.
"I think it's an insult to the president in the first place and I don't want to comment further because I don't know enough about the relations and the dynamics of the relations between the president and the prime minister, they were together, they competed together, they were elected together, they had a coalition" , said Memli Krasniqi.
President Osmani used the opportunity to respond to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla, who made interesting statements on Tuesday evening during a concert in the square of Pristina.
Gërvalla called Prime Minister Kurti a "superstar" while for Dafina Zeqiri's song "Llafe, Llafe" that in the fable there is an inevitable separation between two people who need each other, he said it was for President Osmani.
"If you want to continue a little with Dafina's songs, there is a new one 1 month ago. "With cast after cast, master of tricks, with cast after cast repeating mistakes" there are other Dafina songs", declared Osmani.
Osmani said that there are differences with both Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Gërvalla, adding that it is possible to commit to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo and coordination with the allies.
"All this can be done respecting the constitution and respecting the contribution of security allies. As president, I have taken this position and this is not talk, talk, but it is a reality that no one can dispute", added the president.
The different attitudes among the leaders were noticed in several cases related to the foreign policies of the country.
