A 47-meter long luxury megayacht, named "Ethos", sank off the coast of Kefalonia, in the bay of Paleokaravos, in Greece. Fortunately, the people on the yacht were all evacuated.
According to what has been reconstructed, it seems that the carelessness of the crew has partially sunk the yacht.
In social networks, some users have published videos of the episode where the half-sunken yacht can be seen as it sailed towards the small island of Ithaca.
As local media reports, it appears that one of the crew members left a side door of the ship open and was unable to close it in time.
When the luxury yacht began to fill with water, there were five tourists and five crew members on board. Fortunately, all the people present at the time of the accident were evacuated thanks to the help of a nearby private boat.
The ship is valued at 19 million euros and underwent a complete renovation just a few months ago. Renting the "Ethos" yacht, which can accommodate 12 people on board, costs 213,000 euros per week.
