Hate speeches, provocative rhetoric, threats against them, which spread dangerously in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean. This is the panorama between Greece and Turkey, where the two countries have increased tensions between them.

Greeks accuse Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of trying to escalate tensions in every possible way, with unhistorical and largely immoral statements against the Greek people, as well as on the ground, with violations of Athens airspace and with missions of research vessels.

Greek media write that it is clear that the Turks are controlling the reflexes of the Greeks and are counting the reactions and are looking for a "window" of opportunity to create a "hot" episode in the Aegean.

In fact, it is estimated that the provocative actions of the neighbor will intensify in the near future, where Tajip Erdogan shows that he is looking for a victory that will strengthen him in the eyes of his people, shortly before the elections, while leading Athens and Ankara towards absurd negotiations.

Now, any aggressive action by Turkey is immediately reported to NATO and the UN, while the Greek government already warns of the risk of provocation by Turkey.

At the same time, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who will give the "present" at the extraordinary Summit to be held this afternoon in Brussels, on the one hand will inform the European partners about the ongoing challenges of Turkey and on the other hand will insist in need of energy measures.

According to government sources, Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to inform his counterparts of the escalation of the Turkish provocation, as well as the risk of escalation of tension in the region, at a critical moment that the last needed is another source of tension in an already geopolitically charged European landscape.

Greek "shield" from Evros to Castellorizo

At the same time, the Armed Forces have been placed on a state of increased vigilance on land, air and sea, with the military leadership gradually raising the level of readiness.

At the same time, Greek Navy ships and submarines control all the critical points of the Archipelago, while monitoring the movement of research ships that Erdogan sends to the international waters of the Aegean.

Although some surface units returned to the Naval Station after the STORM search exercise, more than 20 fleet vessels are in the Aegean and Mediterranean, displaying flags at all hotspots.

As for the Air Force, the "key" air defense from the first moment everything that "breaks" the Greek airspace, while the pilots of the Greek fighters take care to immediately wait for the provocations of the Turkish pilots.
