Protests against Vučić return, thousands of students gather in Belgrade

Thousands of protesters gathered this Saturday in central Belgrade to demand new parliamentary elections and the continuation of the anti-corruption movement that began after the tragic collapse of the Novi Sad railway station in November 2024.

The movement has sparked massive demonstrations, such as the one in March 2025 with around 300,000 participants.

Students who took part in the protests said they hope today's rally will restore the momentum of the movement and push President Aleksandar Vučić to call early elections.

Under the slogan "Students win," protesters gathered at Slavija Square, one of the main protest hotspots in the Serbian capital in recent months.
