A few days ago a bill from Lake Como in Italy went viral online after customers were billed an extra 2 euros for splitting into two pieces of a toastie.

The bill drew widespread criticism, from revolted Italians who say high prices are forcing them to leave on holiday to cheaper overseas destinations.

But the things seem to be not over.

A couple of Italians were sitting in a pizzeria in Alba, Piedmont. They asked the waiter for an extra spoon to share together the "catalana" cream they had ordered.

What they didn't expect came with the bill, a sum of 1.5 euros per... an extra spoon.

They said that while it was not a large sum, they felt offended by the unrelogical price increase by businesses that want to benefit most from the post-pandemic period.
