After nearly 17 months of the war in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that he does not reject talks on reaching peace.
"I cannot stop the war when they attack us. You know, I always say that we have never rejected peace talks ," Putin said.
He was speaking at a press conference after meeting African leaders in St Petersburg on Friday. The Russian president stressed that Ukraine must accept the new territorial reality.
So Moscow woke up under the attack of Ukrainian drones on Sunday. Footage shared on social media shows the huge explosion that took place in a high-rise building in the center just 2.8 kilometers from the Kremlin.
Russian media reported conflicting news. Initially they said that the drones were neutralized by the Russian army, while later when videos were shared on social media they said that one person was injured.
The TASS news agency, citing emergency services, said that "a security guard was injured in a building as a result of the explosion. Windows from the first floor to the fourth floor were broken as a result of the blast,” the source said.
