" Dozens " of Iranian missiles that were moving towards Israel during Tuesday night, were " successfully destroyed " by two American warships, the spokesman of the American Navy announced on Wednesday.
The American Sixth Fleet Arleigh Burke led by the battleships USS Cole (DDG 67) and USS Bulkeley (DDG 84), have "destroyed dozens of Iranian missiles in defense of Israel from the eastern Mediterranean", US Navy Captain Bill Urban.
Both warships "have Aegis weapons, designed to destroy missiles, and these ships were stationed in the eastern Mediterranean by the United States in response to Iranian missile launches," Urban added.
