New details have emerged following the high-profile meeting between United States President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

American media write that after harsh retorts, the Ukrainian delegation left the Oval Office in a "separate room" immediately after the conflict.

There, national security adviser Mike Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio told them to leave the White House, according to the BBC's US partner CBS.

The US president has asked Secretary of State Rubio to inform the Ukrainian delegation that it must leave the White House and that it will only be able to return if it is ready for a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, it is learned that immediately after leaving the White House, President Zelensky had a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

But this confrontation has not been well received even within the United States. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer declared a few minutes after the meeting that in this way Donald Trump and his deputy Vance are playing Vladimir Putin's dirty game.

Olaf Scholz: Ukraine can rely on Germany and Europe

After the Trump-Zelensky clash at the White House, Olaf Scholz, the current Chancellor of Germany from the Social Democratic Party, also reacted, saying that no one wants peace more than Ukrainians. Therefore, according to him, Ukraine can rely on Germany and Europe.

"No one wants peace more than Ukrainians. That's why we are working on a common path towards a lasting and just peace. Ukraine can count on Germany – and on Europe," wrote Olaf Scholz.

Even the future German chancellor supports Ukraine

Germany's incoming Chancellor Friedrich Merz has said he stands with Ukraine in good times and bad. He added that the aggressor cannot be compared to the victim, a reaction to the meeting between Trump and Zelensky today, which ended without an agreement.

In a post on X, Merz addresses the Ukrainian President in support.

"Dear Volodymyr Zelensky, we stand with Ukraine in good times and in trials. We must never confuse the aggressor and the victim in this terrible war," he said.

EU chief comes out in support of Zelensky

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has reacted after the failure of negotiations between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Von der Leyen expressed her support for Ukraine through a message on social media:

"Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, honorable President Zelensky. We will continue to work with you for a just and lasting peace," Ursula von der Leyen writes.

Viktor Orban, the only European to support Trump

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban reacted in support of US President Donald Trump, following the latter's clash with Zelensky at the White House.

Orban stressed that "strong people make peace" while thanking Trump for his stance.

"Strong people make peace, weak people make war. Today, President Donald Trump courageously stood for peace, even if it was difficult for many others to accept. Thank you, Mr. President!" Orban wrote.
