The Kosovo police have reacted in relation to the terrible accident that took the lives of three young people in Kosovo. The serious incident happened on the "Ibrahim Rugova" highway in Prizren.

The announcement states that the three victims were pedestrians who were watching the car race.

According to the police, it is suspected that the driver lost control of the vehicle and as a result hit the three young men.

As a result of the accident, in addition to 3 victims, three other people were also injured, who were sent to the hospital and are receiving medical assistance.

After the serious incident, the police arrested the suspected perpetrator.

Police notification:

 “TRAFFIC ACCIDENT WITH FATALITY- Autostrada-Ibrahim Rugova, (km-15) 16.12.2023-22:45. During the race on the highway, the Kosovar suspect allegedly lost control of his vehicle and as a result hit three Kosovar male pedestrians.

As a result, the three people who were hit lost their lives, while three others suffered injuries and were sent to the hospital.

The prosecutor of the case also came to the scene and with his decision, the (three) dead bodies, after their death was confirmed by the medical team, were sent to the IML for autopsy.

By order of the prosecutor, the suspect was arrested. Investigations related to this accident are being carried out by the relevant police units," said the police announcement.
