An unusual death has been recorded in-flight on a plane that had departed from Florida to Chile.

American media write that one of the pilots died suddenly, and the plane had to make an emergency landing in Panama.

Flight records show the plane took off at 9:40 p.m. from Miami and landed three hours later at Panama's Tocumel International Airport.

The company announced that after the plane landed, the crew tried to revive the "Boeing 787" pilot, but without success.

The LATAM airline says it is saddened by the incident and expresses its condolences to the pilot's family, thanking him for 25 years of service.
