The war in Iran is already global in one aspect: that of the safety of American diplomatic personnel.

US media are reporting on a State Department directive to US Embassies around the world to immediately conduct security assessments due to developments in the Middle East.

According to a cable referenced in the media, all embassies are being asked to organize Emergency Response Committees composed of multidisciplinary units, created to identify and plan for threats…

This order was sent last week to diplomatic posts in the Middle East, but it has now been expanded.

The media are unable to justify the premises of this order in a concrete way.
