Albanian Luan Braha, owner of one of the car washes named "Boss" in England, has been sentenced to 8 years in prison by the British court.
He tried to traffic Albanian immigrants from Belgium to the island country, including among them children whom he drugged so that they would be calm during the journey. Local media reports that the Albanian used the facilities of his car wash in Staffordshire to devise his plan to traffic Albanian immigrants.
The 38-year-old, from North Macedonia, wanted to bring up to 200 migrants to Great Britain by cramming them into the back of trucks. They would pay more than 5 thousand pounds for the trip.
In collaboration with others, Braha discussed how children could be drugged to stay calm along the route from Belgium to Great Britain.
But his plans came to light when investigators from the West Midlands Regional Organized Crime Unit (ROCU) realized he was the mastermind of migrant trafficking. The 38-year-old was then arrested at his car wash even though he opposed plans to traffic migrants.
According to the English prosecution file, Braha used his laundromat to create acquaintances with criminal elements in order to execute his plan to traffic migrants. The police placed eavesdroppers, uncovering Braha's conversations about the trafficking of immigrants.
