Over 95% of votes counted, LVV scores a decline compared to the December 28 elections

With the majority of votes counted, the Vetëvendosje Movement has recorded a decline compared to the December 28 parliamentary elections.

With over 95% of the votes counted, the Central Election Commission has announced that the Vetëvendosje Movement leads with 43.47%, the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 21.40%, the Democratic League of Kosovo with 17.88% and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo with 7.19%.

These results put Vetëvendosje significantly lower than in the December 28 elections, when it received over 51% of the vote. In those elections, PDK won 20.2%, LDK 13.2%, and AAK 5.5%.

The votes counted so far do not include those from the diaspora.

Turnout in the election was around 35%, significantly lower than in the December elections last year, when around 45% of the electorate voted.

Kosovo Police has announced that the electoral process was conducted peacefully and without incidents that would affect its progress.

The citizens of Kosovo on Sunday, June 7, voted for the third time on the composition of the 11th legislature, after political entities failed to reach an agreement on the issue of the president.
