An Iranian newspaper has published a graphic created with artificial intelligence, showing US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in prison uniforms, with the caption "Revenge is certain."
The graphic published by the Hamshahri newspaper depicts 13 American, Israeli and European political and military figures, whom the newspaper accuses of being responsible for the assassination of Iran's former supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during the US-Israeli attack that marked the start of the war on February 28.
Also included in the image are US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Commander of US Central Command Brad Cooper, and US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.
But what has attracted the most attention is the involvement of four European leaders: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The announcement came shortly after Iran's new supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, made a public statement following his father's funeral. He vowed revenge against those responsible for the Iranian leader's assassination, calling it the nation's demand.
In a statement broadcast on Iranian state television, Khamenei said revenge "must definitely happen."
