A couple of men lunching on pasta and a glass of wine in front of them at the table. At first glance, the above photo that is doing the rounds of the network may seem normal, but everything turns upside down when you realize that the characters who are having lunch together are the heads of three of the most famous criminal syndicates in the world.

The 'heads' of the 'Ndrangheta based in the peninsular region of Calabria, the Naples Camorra and the Sicilian-based Cosa Nostra were allegedly caught on camera sharing a meal together in a garden.

According to the international media, it is believed that the photo was taken in April 2021 and there is already a fear that the three most powerful mafia groups in Italy may have created the formidable alliance baptized as " super mafia ".

The meeting was said to be one of many that police had under surveillance, with prosecutors warning of the emergence of a major crime syndicate in Italy's wealthy north.

" Here is Milan ," a suspected Camorra mobster was heard telling an ally. " We are not in Sicily, we are not in Rome, we are not in Naples, we are doing good things here," the Camorra member is believed to have said further, according to a report by the Telegraph .

A suspected member of Cosa Nostra allegedly replied: " We have built an empire ".

The release of the photo comes as it has been reported that the three powerful criminal organizations have put aside their historic rivalries to create a " super mafia " alliance which is taking advantage of business opportunities in the Lombardy region.

They allegedly made hundreds of millions of euros investing in legitimate businesses in the world's fashion capital, Milan. Calabrian, Sicilian and Roman mafia organizations have entered into a lasting agreement for a kind of confederation, according to the findings of Italian prosecutors.

While public bloodbaths, murders and violent brawls were once a way of life for these mob bosses, they are now said to be keeping a low profile, opting for white-collar crime over shootings./Taken from DailyMail
