The Italian newspaper  Corriere della Sera reports that the names of six " rich and powerful " men were " censored without explanation by the Justice Department " in the Epstein case files.

It was California Democratic Representative Ro Khanna who read these names aloud during a session in the House of Representatives.

Among the six people named are Leslie Wexner, the former CEO of Victoria's Secret, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, a businessman from the United Arab Emirates and president of DP World.

According to the documents, Epstein had written to the latter in 2005 with the phrase: ' I liked the torture video '

The other four names are Nicola Caputo, Salvatore Nuara, Zurab Mikeladze and Leonic Leonov, persons for whom there is currently no reliable public information yet.

"If we have uncovered six hidden men in two hours, imagine how many more could be hidden in those 3 million pages of documents. Why are we protecting these rich and powerful men? People I call part of the 'Epstein Class,'" Khanna said during his speech.

Immediately after the names were published, accusations began on social media against Nicola Caputo, former MEP of the Italian Democratic Party from 2014 to 2019, linking him to the name mentioned in the file.

Contacted by the ANSA agency, the Italian politician reacted by saying:

I have nothing to do with this story, the Nicola Caputo you are looking for is not me! At the time the Epstein files were filed, in 2009, I was only a regional advisor and had no contact with the United States.

I intend to contact the American embassy as soon as possible to seek clarification. Of course, I will not accept media lynchings.

Finally, Corriere emphasizes that maximum caution is needed: only some of the names mentioned also appear in other documents and therefore no hasty conclusions can be drawn.

Sulayem's case was already well-known, while Wexner is considered the billionaire who was defrauded by Epstein.

There is currently no concrete evidence for the other four names, and according to some sources, Salvatore Nuara may be a police officer in New York, unrelated to the Epstein affair./ CorrieredellaSera
