19 police officers, a citizen, and Democratic MP Beldjon Nallbati were injured during yesterday's DP protest in the capital.
But the protest, which ended with acts of violence, Molotov cocktails and fireworks, was described by Sali Berisha today during a media conference as a peaceful uprising.
"The protesters deserve the most boundless gratitude, the greatest honor, who yesterday with their peaceful uprising brightened the face of Albania. They marked a new chapter in the peaceful uprising of the Albanian people against Edi Rama's drug regime," said Berisha.
Berisha further said that Edi Rama had prepared a "scenario of bloodshed and execution of protesters."
"Terrified by the wisdom and tenacity of the protestor, Edi Rama had prepared the scenario of bloodshed, the execution of peaceful protesters in the square. For this purpose, he had put the criminal Sokol Bizhga in charge of the bandits in uniform. He ordered them to shoot three protesters, four, excuse me, four... who were absolutely not carrying out any action against the police officers. Hitting them with rubber bullets to the head is proven in the majority of fatal cases. The savage violence of the bandits did not spare even deputies. They rushed in on orders and shot Bledjon Nallbat, who was not carrying out any action," Berisha continued.
