Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem said the organization would "act as it sees fit" in response to the ongoing war between its main backer, Iran, and Israel.
Naim Qassem stressed that Hezbollah cannot be "neutral" in the conflict between Israel and Iran, essentially responding to the warning of the US special envoy for Syria, Thomas Barak, who earlier today said it would be "very bad" for the movement to be involved in the regional conflict.
Hezbollah was significantly weakened by the armed conflict with Israel last year, during which its leadership was destroyed, thousands of its fighters were killed, while its strongholds in southern Lebanon and the suburbs of Beirut suffered heavy damage.
