Now that Trump's victory is certain in the circles of his MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement, names are being bandied about who might be part of his new administration.

The president has considered his last cabinet in 2017 as the biggest mistake of his governance. Many of Trump's former associates fell out with the President and even publicly criticized him afterward.

Former White House chief of staff John Kelly called him a fascist. His former vice president, Mike Pence, refused to endorse him. So does former Homeland Security Secretary John Bolton.

"The biggest mistake I made was electing some people I should never have elected," Trump said recently.

Trump has already decided to appoint only loyal people to high positions. While he has not confirmed anyone in the new cabinet, several names have been published in the American and international media as possible contenders.

According to "Reuters", former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is among the names rumored to return this time as the new Secretary of Defense. In the previous Trump administration, Pompeo pushed for strong support for Israel.

He is also an advocate for the liberation of Ukraine when he proposed real sanctions on Russia and sending weapons to Kiev.

Richard Grenell, the former acting director of National Intelligence and former US ambassador to Germany, is slated to be the new Secretary of State. During this period, Grenell served as an influential foreign policy adviser in Trump's circle.

He continued to meet with foreign leaders in support of the former president, among them Albanian Prime Minister Rama. More importantly, he reportedly has the support of Melania Trump. Grenell's rivals for the new secretary of state include Marc Rubio and Robert O'Brien.

Retired National Guard Special Forces Colonel Mike Waltz is another name Trump says he is considering for Defense Secretary, although US media reports also consider him a contender for Secretary of State.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to lead the health department in the new Trump administration. The American media has mentioned Howard Lutnick as a possible candidate for the post of Secretary of the Treasury. He has helped drum up support for Trump on Wall Street by raising more than $75 million for his campaign. Lutnick is currently playing a leading role in Trump's White House transition team. Scott Bessent, a top economic adviser to Trump, is also seen as the new Treasury Secretary

Former US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, who was a key figure in the president's first term, has also been rumored for the new Treasury Secretary now that Trump has won the keys to the White House.

Mark Green is tipped to be Homeland Security Secretary. His supporters describe him as a Trump loyalist and a hardliner on illegal immigration.

John Ratcliffe is seen as a candidate for Attorney General although he could also take a separate National Security or Intelligence position. Post for which Senator Mike Lee is also in discussion.

One of Trump's campaign managers, Susie Wiles, is seen as the frontrunner to be the new White House chief of staff.

Former director of Trump's Domestic Policy Council, Brooke Rollins, is also a contender for the post. Kash Patel is seen as a potential candidate to be appointed director of the CIA.

Tesla boss Elon Musk is tipped to head a new government efficiency department tasked with auditing the federal government and planning reforms, but it's not yet certain whether he would accept such a job .
