The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has congratulated the newly elected President of the USA, Donald Trump, on his victory.

In a post on social networks, the head of the Kosovo government calls the US a key ally, friend and partner and looks forward to working together for progress and peace.

"Congratulations President Donald Trump on your electoral victory. The USA is a key ally, friend and partner of Kosovo and we look forward to working together for progress and peace", writes Kurti.

Kurt's congratulations came after the publication of the results where Donald Trump secured over 270 Electoral College votes, enabling him to win convincingly against rival Kamala Harris .
