Trump's election, Iran reacts: For us, nothing changes

Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said the results of the US election will not cause a change in the general policy of the two countries.

According to Iranian state television, Mohajerani answered questions from reporters after the cabinet meeting.

"The presidential elections in the USA do not have much to do with us. Because the general policy of the USA and Iran is unchangeable. Many things will not change with the arrival of one in the country of the other," declared Mohajerani.

Regarding the announcement of Donald Trump's victory, Mohajerani said: "We are not worried about Trump winning again. For us, there is no difference between the two candidates."

She added that the results of the US election will not affect the daily lives of Iranians.
