Maria Clara Urdangaray, 27, died in Fushe Kosove after a Kosovar citizen allegedly threw her from the sixth floor of a hotel.
Her father spoke to Swiss newspaper 20 Minuten, dismissing claims the 27-year-old could have self-taught herself due to anxiety or depression.
"She sent us videos from the wedding. She looked good and happy, I don't understand how this could happen," the girl's father said.
The late Maria Clara Urdangaray was from the town of La Plata in Argentina, not far from the capital, Buenos Aires.
In November 2022 she had moved to Spain, according to her family "in search of a better future."
After two or three months in Barcelona, Maria met the Swiss suspect (32-year-old Kosovar E.* from the canton of Bern), and shortly afterwards the couple moved to Switzerland together.
In Kosovo they had returned to attend the wedding of the accused's brother. The Kosovar has been assigned 30 days of detention.
