Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran "made a big mistake tonight and will pay for it" referring to the missile attack launched by Tehran.
At the start of a meeting of his cabinet, Netanyahu said Iran does not understand his country's determination to retaliate against its enemies.
"They will understand. We will stick to the rule we set. Whoever attacks us, we will attack him back," he said.
The Israeli army announced that there were no injuries from the Iranian attacks.
The spokesman of the Israeli army also reacted before Netanyahu, who said that the country's Air Force will strike strongly in the Middle East tonight.
In response, the Israeli military spokesman stated that the Iranian attack will have consequences.
"Israeli and American air defense systems operated effectively under the barrage of Iranian missiles," said Daniel Hagari.
"Israel has plans to respond to Iran's missile attack. This attack will have consequences. We have plans and will operate at the place and time we decide. Several Iranian missiles fired at Israel on Tuesday evening had a direct impact on central and southern Israel. We are ready for them. We have plans and we will operate in the place and time we decide," said Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israeli army.
Thus, it is learned that some of the Iranian missiles fired at Israel were intercepted by the US anti-missile systems located in the region, before reaching the skies of the Jewish state, and not by the Israeli Iron Dome. This was announced by American sources quoted by the BBC.
US Navy destroyers in the eastern Mediterranean intercepted Iranian ballistic missiles during Tuesday's launch, according to a US defense official.
