The serious incident that shook the village of Majac in Podujevo has left three victims and raised a series of questions about its circumstances. Since the incident, the media has reported different versions, while family members are trying to clarify what happened.

One of the Gashi family members, who wished to remain anonymous, provided details to Klan Kosova, denying some of the information that has been disseminated. He stressed that their family has never had any apparent conflicts with anyone and that they were not aware of the relationship that Ardita Gashi, 31, had with Ilaz Brahimi, 45, from Obiliq.

According to the family member, the incident happened suddenly and violently. He said that after the first incident, Ardita Gashi approached other family members.

"After shooting the boy, she went to her uncle's daughter-in-law. She was with the boy's daughter-in-law and the three children. Ardita was told to go outside because she had something to talk to the uncle's daughter-in-law. As soon as they came out, we heard shots. We ran away immediately, but she locked herself in the children's room. When her brother tried to enter, she pointed the gun at herself and said, 'Get out, or I'll kill you too,'" the family member said.

He also clarified that the weapon used was a pistol, denying claims that Ardita had used an automatic weapon against Ilaz Brahimi and his uncle's wife.

The incident occurred on the evening of March 22, when Ardita Gashi allegedly killed Ilaz Brahimi. Another family member, Miradije Gashi, was seriously injured and died Monday morning while undergoing treatment at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCK). Ardita Gashi was also taken to UCK in critical condition due to self-inflicted injuries, but she could not survive and also died Monday morning.

For her part, the spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, Kaltrina Shala, stated that the incident had started as a result of a dispute between Ardita Gashi and Ilaz Brahimi. Investigations continue to clarify all the circumstances and motives of this serious event that has shocked the community.
